REPORT: Reason behind US closure of diplomatic outposts in Middle East, Africa and Asia

Following the death of Osama Bin Laden in 2011, US President Barack Obama announced that war against terrorism is reaching its end.

In turn, US Secretary of State John Kerry said from Pakistan that the al-Qaeda is no longer a threat.

Few hours after Kerry’s declaration, the United States, along with various Western countries called for the closure of their embassies in many countries for fear of any attack that may be similar to that which happened on the 11th of September 2001.

This report will shed light on some of the al-Qaeda activities, as well as the US decision to close its embassies in various countries.
