REPORT: Syrian events revive Kurds’ dream of an independent state

The Kurds in Syria have suffered under the rule of the Syrian President Bashar Assad, where they were deprived from their right to be granted citizenship and were subject to the worst manifestations of racial discrimination and marginalization.

Since the beginning of the revolution, the Syrian regime has attempted, in vain, to offer peace to this minority by granting them citizenship.
