REPORT: Iranian town of Ghamsar celebrates the rosewater festival

With the beginning of the summer season, Iranian farmers in the city of Ghamsar start collecting the Mohammadi Rose flowers.                

The farmers collect these flowers, boil them in special pots and gather the rosewater, to send it to sacred places all over the world such as the Holy Kaaba of Mecca.             

This report will shed light on the Iranian festival of Rosewater, in addition to reasons behind changing the name of the town from Ghamsar to the “Town of the Mohammadi Roses”
