REPORT: MP Aoun says his bloc will not attend future parliamentary sessions

The Change and Reform bloc held on Tuesday its weekly meeting to tackle Lebanon's latest developments.

Following the meeting, the bloc's leader MP Michel Aoun said that some Lebanese parties "are hindering the formation of a new government."

MP Aoun called for issuing "a clear agenda for the parliamentary session," reiterating that his bloc will not attend legislative sessions.

As for the file of Syrian refugees in Lebanon, MP Aoun slammed accusations stating the bloc was being "racist" in regards to this case, accusing those who dubbed the Lebanese Maronites as "people who cannot trusted" of initially portraying racism, he said in reference to Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt.

MP Aoun noted that he will not "recall past events in order not to hurt any Lebanese factions."

He concluded by saying that attacks may target Lebanese regions other than that of the Southern Beirut Suburbs, adding that the perpetrators are most likely to be foreigners.
