The state-run National News Agency reported on Sunday that a team of the High Relief Commission began the inspection of the damaged houses located in the vicinity of the Taqwa mosque in order to financially compensate residents of sad homes.
This comes as a team dispatched by Ogero inspected the site of the explosions near the Salam mosque to fix the network that was damaged during the explosions.
Meanwhile civil society volunteers worked on removing debris from the explosions sites in Tripoli.
As well, Lebanese Armed Forces units established checkpoints at the entrances of Tripoli to inspect the cars entering the city.
For his part, State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr called on families of victims fallen in Tripoli's explosions to carry out DNA tests to identify the remaining unknown bodies found in the blasts sites.
MP Bahia Hariri paid a visit to the northern city of Tripoli and checked the Salam mosque before heading to the Mazloum hospital to visit the wounded people.
At the end of her tour, MP Hariri voiced her regrets for "what happened in Tripoli and Roueis", calling the Lebanese people to unite.
MP Hariri also visited the residences of MPs Mohammad Kabbara and Samir Jisr in the presence of Tripoli's MPs and held a meeting with them.
Following the meeting, Future movement MPs urged all political leaders to submit concessions for the nation and "place national interests on their top priorities.”
The movement also demanded that security measures be boosted at places of worship and to increase number of security forces in the northern city.
Later in the day, the youth of the Future Movement organized a popular march in Tripoli, starting from al-Taqwa Mosque towards al-Salam Mosque, to express their rejection to strife and terrorism.
On Friday the 23rd of August, two explosions rocked the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli near the al-Taqwa and al-Salam mosques, leaving 45 killed and almost 500 others injured.
Thick black smoke billowed as gunshots were fired into the air. Ambulances rushed to the scene and security forces cordoned off the area for fears of further attacks.
In the details, one blast occurred outside the al-Taqwa mosque as Friday prayers ended, while the other the other hit central Tripoli near the al-Salam mosque facing the residence of the former general director of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces Major General Ashraf Rifi.
The al-Taqwa mosque is where hardline Salafist Sheikh Salem Rafei preaches. He has been known for his anti-Syrian regime sentiment.
The blasts come amid rising tension in Lebanon resulting from Syria's civil war, which has sharply polarized the country along sectarian lines and between supporters and opponents of the regime of President Bashar Assad.
