REPORT: Gunfire erupts in Beirut's Tariq al-Jdideh, LAF quells situation

The situation returned normal on Tuesday after gunshots were fired in a personal dispute in the Beirut region of Tariq al-Jdideh.

In the details, a bodyguard of Grand Mufti Sheikh Mohammed Rashid Qabbani, identified as Abou Ali Chamli, had accompanied him to the Mohammed al-Amin mosque in Downtown Beirut.

Chamli who was carrying a weapon, provoked a number of citizens and therefore, bombs and gunshots were heard upon his return from prayers.

In a phone call with LBCI's Nharkom Said TV Show, Abou Ali's daughter, Zeina Chamli, said she was confined to her residence in the aforementioned area by "gunmen of the Future bloc".

She added that gunmen want her family to leave the region since "they do not support the March 14 coalition, namely the Future bloc".
