REPORT: Media outlets issue conflicting reports on the death of Youssef and Khaled al-Houjeiri

Media outlets stated on Monday conflicting reports concerning the death of Youssef and Khaled al-Houjeiri who hail from the northeastern Lebanese border town of Arsal.

Security sources said that Youssef and Khaled al-Houjeiri were killed in the battles taking place in Syria’s Qalamoun, while Arsal’s residents said that they were killed during a dispute with residents from the Syrian town of Qara, over a land lot.

Many in Arsal, a Sunni Muslim town, are sympathetic to Syrian rebels even as fears of a Syrian spillover are mounting in Lebanon; a country that has adopted a dissociation policy toward its neighbors internal violence.
