REPORT: MP Fadlallah says Israel spying on UNIFIL, embassies in Lebanon

Head of the Parliamentary Communications Committee MP Hassan Fadlallah stressed on Thursday that the technical committee tasked with overseeing the threats of Israeli espionage on Lebanon, made a presentation that showed spying procedures affecting all the Lebanese.

MP Fadlallah confirmed that Israel is spying on the UNIFIL and embassies in Lebanon, calling on the ambassadors to convey the issue to their countries.

"When the Lebanese state fully assumes its responsibilities, all Israeli violations will end," he added.

This as, the Parliamentary Communications Committee held a meeting at the Parliament's plenary hall, upon the invitation of Speaker Nabih Berri, with talks featuring high on the threats of Israeli espionage on Lebanon.

The meeting was attended by members of media and foreign affairs committees, the concerned ministers as well as a number of ambassadors, diplomats and charges d'affaires.

Invitations were also sent to the European Union's ambassadors, the UN Security Council's five permanent members and the UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon Derek Plumbly.
