REPORT: Will caretaker PM Mikati’s cabinet take over presidential powers in case of void?

The political debate around the caretaking cabinet is amplifying. This concerns keeping caretaker PM Mikati’s cabinet in power and handing a resigned government presidential powers on the other.

In this context, MP Boutros Harb warned that the primary role of the parliament could not be foiled and comes to maintain the balance between the rest of the political powers.
