REPORT: Frangieh : MP Aoun and I are both candidates for the presidency

Head of the Marada Movement MP Sleiman Frangieh said on Thursday he will not be among those who will approve the extension of Lebanese President Michel Sleiman's mandate, pointing out that Sleiman is not considered a neutral candidate for "having taken sides on many occasions."

"MP Michel Aoun and I are both candidates for the presidency, but our allies have to agree on just one candidate," MP Frangieh said.

Frangieh added that "President Sleiman is dragging the country to the abyss," stressing that he is against the formation of a cabinet that does not garner the support of all Lebanese factions.
