REPORT: Celebratory gunfire on New Year's Eve kills one, injures 6

While traffic measures undertaken by the Lebanese security forces had managed to prevent road accidents and casualties on New Year's Eve, the calls of caretaker Interior Minister Marwan Charbel to avoid celebratory gunfire went unheeded.

Stray bullets fired in celebration killed one person and injured six others.
