REPORT: MP Daher: Hezbollah military interference in Syria behind Haret Hreik's explosion

Future MP Khaled Daher held on Sunday a press conference in which he condemned the torching of Father Ibrahim Sarrouj's historical library in the northern city of Tripoli.

MP Daher added that the torching is an attempt of Intelligence Bureau to distort "the image of Tripoli."

The torching of the al-Saeh Library came after reports claimed that the father had  previously published an article deemed "insulting" to Islam.

On another note, MP Daher said that he received threatening messages on his phone from Local and international phone numbers.

This as Daher stressed that Haret Hreik's explosion is a direct result of Hezbollah military interference in Syria, urging the armed party to withdraw its fighters from the neighboring country and "to apologize to the Syrian people."

A powerful explosion shook southern Beirut, a stronghold of Hezbollah, on Thursday 2nd of January, killing at least 4 people and injuring over 77 others.

The explosion took place in al-Arid Street in Haret Hreik near Jawad restaurant only meters away from Hezbollah's political council, sources said.
