REPORT: ISIS attempts to hold on Syrian town of Raqqah

al-Qaeda-linked group, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria enjoyed an arc of dominance across Syria’s north and east.

By Tuesday, the group’s fighters pushed out of some towns and turned to suicide bombings in a bid to hold on to pockets of Raqqah, the large north-central city that was its stronghold.

This report will shed light on the latest “mistakes” of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria as viewed by analysts.
