REPORT: Calls for passing law to protect women from violence re-emerge

Following the death of Manal Assi due her husband’s violent beating, the “Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women” convened and called for passing the draft law for protection of women from domestic violence, stressing the need to avoid the inaccuracies faced in the case of Roula Yaacoub’s murder.
