REPORT: Australian actress Cate Blanchett began career in Egypt

Australian Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett played an American cheerleader in the 1990 Egyptian film, “Kaboria,” Arabic for “Crabs”.

The film starred iconic Egyptian actor Ahmad Zaky, and was Blanchett’s first performance on the silver screen.

This report will shed light on Blanchett’s acting roots in the Middle East.
