REPORT: LAF units raid Bekaa towns of Brital, Hawrtaala
Lebanese Armed Forces commenced on Thursday the implementation of the security plan in Lebanon’s Bekaa.

In this regard, LAF units carried out raids in the villages of Brital and Hawrtaala using military and armored vehicles.

This as LAF choppers raided the town in search of fugitives

The cabinet tasked the army and security forces with controlling the security situation in Lebanon's northern city of Tripoli and the eastern Bekaa Valley in areas bordering Syria.

In this context, army units conducted motorized patrols, established checkpoints, raided wanted persons and arrested a number of fugitives who were handed over to the concerned authorities.

LAF soldiers also deployed heavily in Tripoli as part of the security plan put forth, seemingly since disputes from neighboring Syria's civil war frequently inflame sectarian grievances in the northern Lebanese city.
