REPORT: Palestinian refugees demonstrate in Beirut over war in Gaza

Dozens of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon gathered outside the UN compound in Beirut on Sunday to express their solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.

Many waved Palestinian flags and some burned Israeli and US flags.

The 20-day war has killed more than 1,050 Palestinians, mainly civilians, according to Palestinian health officials. 43 Israeli soldiers along with two civilians and a Thai worker in Israel were killed by rocket and mortar attacks from Gaza.

Hamas agreed to observe a 24-hour humanitarian truce on Sunday, after rocket fire from the Gaza Strip was met with renewed Israeli shelling.
