REPORT: Lebanon advised to slash the number of its banks
Well-informed sources told Al-Liwaa daily on Tuesday that the World Bank, along with U.S. finance officials, have submitted a proposal to the Central Bank Governor Riad Salameh.

The officials suggested to slash the number of Lebanese banks, currently operating in the country, from 72 to 25 within five years.
