REPORT: MP Keyrouz suggests eliminating military court, Bar Association supports
The military court in Lebanon studies every case, whether minor or major, if one of the parties involved belongs to a military apparatus.

According to the proposal presented by MP Elie Keyrouz to amend the military penal code, this military court is exceptional, does not enjoy judicial guarantees and is not subject to legal control. The proposal also added that the military judges leading this court are “an unjustifiable immunity for the military personnel and a violation to the equality between the Lebanese people before law and justice.”
