REPORT: Tourists unfazed following violence in Paris

Tourists visiting Paris on Saturday said they didn't feel too concerned about the violence that shook the French capital last week.

However, some of the main attractions in the city, typically full of visitors, looked unusually empty.

Instead police and military officers were seen patrolling the sights amid tightened security following three days of attacks in and around Paris last week that left 17 dead.

A visitor from Argentina, Jerman Ilyushin, said that although he felt a little bit anxious, the police and military presence had made him feel more at ease.

A 26-years-old rickshaw driver, William, noted that the number of people visiting Paris since the attacks have declined slightly.

France went on high alert last week and has deployed 122,000 police and troops to protect its citizens, especially at Jewish schools and transport hubs.
