REPORT: Criminal Judge in Beirut issues verdict in case of Fassouh building owner
Beirut’s Criminal Judge issued late Wednesday a verdict in the case against the landlord of the building that collapsed in Beirut's Fassouh neighborhood.

The landlord was sentenced to two years in prison and the payment of compensations to the affected families, totaling an amount of approximately LBP 1.9 billion.
 
In January 15, 2012, a six-story residential building collapsed  in Al-Motran Atallah Street, Fassouh, Achrafieh, where the final death toll was estimated at 27.
