REPORT: Bourj al-Barajneh resumes normal life, investigations find no new leads

The region of Bourj al-Barajneh in Beirut’s southern suburbs resumed on Saturday a normal life after a double suicide attack rocked the street on Thursday evening, leaving 41 people dead and more than 100 injured.

 

In this context, sources said that the investigations have not yet revealed any new information, noting that the suicide bombers remain unidentified.

 

Meanwhile, the security forces continued the scanning of the surveillance cameras of the explosion site in search for new leads.

 
On ​Thursday, a double suicide attack hit a busy area in the region of Bourj al-Barajneh in Beirut's southern suburb, killing at least 44 people and injuring more than 100. Moments later, Islamic State released a statement via Twitter, claiming responsibility for the attacks.
