REPORT: Sand quarry located in Maronite Order’s lands in Jezzine

In the middle of the beautiful environment of the town of Bhanin in the district of Jezzine, a sand quarry has tarnished to the natural beauty of the region.

The quarry is located ​in a land that belongs to the Lebanese Maronite Order; its license was obtained by the head of the town’s monastery and it was granted by the Interior Ministry, under the guise of reclaiming agricultural land and transporting the result of the digging.
