With the elections drawing near and the countdown beginning to the big day, a dispute erupted in the town of Chacra in Bint Jbeil, where the candidate Ali al-Amin was attacked by at least 40 young men, affiliated with Hezbollah, according to his statement.
The dispute erupted when al-Amin was helping the men working on his campaign in hanging posters in the streets.
However, a source from Hezbollah told LBCI that this attack is part of the incidents that accompany the elections in the towns and villages, recalling previous incidents during electoral campaigns, such as shooting at the convoy of Minister Hussein al-Hajj Hassan and the dispute between Rajaa al-Zuhairi and Future Movement supporters in Tariq al-Jdideh in front of the security forces.
The source stressed that the party rejects, denounces and condemns violence, calling for refraining from these methods so that the elections can be held in a civilized manner.
