The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) introduces its objective as being to protect and help refugees around the world, including health care, environment protection, emergency relief and providing education as well as other areas of assistance.
The LBCI crew visited several refugee camps in the regions of Bekaa to assess the situation on the ground.
The towns’ municipalities say that the donors are not fulfilling their duties, but leave the municipalities to bear the responsibility of these camps.
For its part, the agency said that, despite the limited funding, it is currently providing 33 thousand families of Syrian refugees with $175 per family per month.
