New project along Beirut corniche raises question marks

Along the seaside corniche in Beirut, extending from Ain al-Mreisseh to Ramlet al-Bayda, 19 kiosks will be set up over a distance of 6 kilometers, selling foods, refreshments, ice cream or other types of services.

The Beirut kiosks company owned by Mounir Zaatari is the company that received the authorization from Beirut governor to set up the kiosks for LBP 400 million per year.

The first question raised by the activists is related to the lack of a tender for such a project, and why has the municipality previously removed similar kiosks and continuously refused any requests set up others.
