Ministry of Economy withdraws expired food items from markets
The Ministry of Economy started on Wednesday to withdraw all expired food products from the Lebanese markets.

This as the Director General of the ministry Mohamad Abou Haidar said that the ministry is confiscating the products of the warehouse that was raided on Tuesday night in the region of Zekrit under the supervision of Health Minister Hamad Hassan.

In turn, Minister of Economy Raoul Nehmeh issued a decision in which he banned the trade of chicken nuggets and escalope and other products of the following brands: Shuman, Lipoul and Carry, after it was proved that expired materials were used in their production.

He also asked all sale points to withdraw these products at once in order to take the necessary legal procedures.
