REPORT: Who will be the next victim of the cement barriers on Fiat Bridge?
After parts of the Fiat Bridge collapsed last August, the Municipality of Beirut set cement barriers on the two entrances of the bridge to block the passage of trucks.

However, the municipality set only one small sign to warn the drivers while crossing the bridge.

The cement barriers and the lack of signs have caused many accidents and the citizens are now protesting and demanding a quick solution.

In this context, Mayor of the Municipality of Beirut Bilal Hamdan told LBCI that the bridge’s reconstruction process could take months, stressing that it will be launched next week.

The mayor added that the municipality will set signs and lightings to warn drivers and prevent accidents.
