Parliamentary Health Committee head MP Assem Araji said on Saturday that health is more important than economy, stressing that the health situation in the country is dangerous and tragic, especially that the intensive care beds are full.
Araji’s comments were made during a phone call with LBCI whereby he noted that Lebanon is now in the middle of the Italian scenario.
He pointed out that the recklessness of the people increased the number of cases, explaining that field hospitals receive only moderate cases.
He also pointed out that the Health Committee stressed that the state must bear the responsibility of helping people during the closure period.
