REPORT: ACT for the disappeared launches “Right to know” campaign

  
The Lebanese association “ACT for the disappeared” launched on Wednesday in Metropolis Empire Sofil Theater in Achrafieh, a campaign under the title “Right to Know” to shed light on the fate of the people still missing since more than 20 years.                 

Within this framework, the vice-president of the association Lynn Maalouf considered that reluctance in uncovering the fate of those victims had negative impacts and disrupted the lives of thousands of people living in Lebanon.                    

Maalouf pointed out that the aim of the campaign is to put the issue of the missing and disappeared persons back in the headlines until a solution is reached.                 

“The media campaign includes television spots, billboards and actions on social networks,” Maalouf added.                    

The campaign will end on the 17th of November; supporters will gather at 1:30 PM before al-Mathaf to mark the 1 year anniversary for the gathering of families of the forcibly missing persons.
