Le Temps reveals: BDL removed 14 pages of IMF report - [REPORT]

Swiss Newspaper Le Temps revealed that Banque Du Liban and its Governor Riad Salameh removed 14 essential pages of a report of the International Monetary Fund in 2016, in which the IMF warned of the crisis that took place three years later.

The newspaper pointed out that it got a document of a meeting that was held back in April 2016 between a team from the IMF, the governor, and a number of BDL officials, in which the representative of the IMF opens his conversation with Salameh by saying: “You are on the verge of collapse.”
