Is Lebanese export at risk with Saudi market shut? – [REPORT]

The most dangerous thing that came in Saudi Arabia’s decision is the ban on all imports from Lebanon.

The decision has negatively impacted the industrial sector due to the volume of exports to the Kingdom, in addition to the losses suffered by farmers before them as a result of the Captagon smuggling crisis through a shipment of pomegranates originating from Syria and exported from the port of Beirut in April.

The total volume of Lebanese agricultural and industrial exports, before the Corona crisis, amounted to about 3 billion dollars annually, and the share of the Gulf countries ranges between 40 to 50 percent.
