REPORT: Abboud considers profiting from Brazilian experience

Brazil’s Rio De Janeiro is a touristic city par excellence as it attracts around 5,400,000 tourists every year. Many activities and exhibitions are organized all year long.

The city will also host the FIFA World Cup 2013 and the Olympic Games 2016 and will be receiving Pope Benedict XVI next year.

Lebanese Tourism Minister Fadi Abboud who is currently in Brazil said that “we should learn from the Brazilian experience”, stressing on the importance of maritime tourism and how Lebanon should focus on ameliorating touristic ports.

A delegation of Lebanese tourism representatives is accompanying the minister on his promotional tour in Brazil.
