Introduction to the evening news 08-12-2012

Tripoli and Talkalakh; 2 interrelated files that took over the domestic scene on Saturday.

In Tripoli, Minister of Interior Marwan Charbel kept pace with the developments on the grounds as Major General Abbas Ibrahim headed to Syria only to return with information regarding the victims of the Talkalakh incident. Accordingly the bodies of those who died in Talkalakh will be delivered in a single batch.

In this context, contacts are continuous between Major General Ibrahim and Foreign Affairs Minister Adnan Mansour in order to find the appropriate mechanisms to retrieve the bodies.

In Syria, chemical weapons have become a contradictory issue between regime forces and rebels.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry said it will not use chemical weapons, if it had any, against its people, but warned of those described as "terrorist groups" of taking control of a plant that has tons of toxic chlorine, and using these substances against the Syrian people.

All these developments and more in our detailed news bulletin.
