Lebanon and Egypt sign gas agreement-[REPORT]

Caretaker Energy Minister Walid Fayyad stated on Tuesday, during the signing of the final agreement to transfer gas from Egypt through Syria to generate electricity, that this agreement will provide Lebanon with an additional 4 hours of electricity supply, which the country desperately needs.

“This agreement would not have occurred if Egypt had not adopted the project from the start, followed up on its details, and supported all stages, resulting in an increase in the quantity,” Fayyad noted.
