Putin confirms Russian strikes targeted Ukrainian energy-related infrastructure-[REPORT]

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday that the Russian forces carried out a series of missile strikes targeting Ukrainian cities, killing at least five people and rendering energy infrastructure out of service across the country.

In a meeting with the Russian Security Council, Putin said that “on the advice of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff's plan, a major strike was carried out this morning using high-precision and long-range weapons on the energy facilities, military command and communications of Ukraine."
