Britain to choose a new prime minister by October 28-[REPORT]

Elections will be held to choose a successor to outgoing British Prime Minister Liz Truss at the head of the Conservative Party by October 28, an official announced on Thursday.

"It will be possible to take a poll and complete the leadership election by Friday 28 October. So we will have a new leader in office before the 31st financial statement," said Graham Brady, chair of the influential 1922 Committee, which includes a number of prominent House of Commons MPs.
