REPORT: Hamas cabinet to Islamize Gaza Strip

The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs in Gaza announced that a campaign will be launched to enhance “values and virtues”.

The campaign will target the youth generation who are imitating the Western civilizations, especially in their clothing style that is considered by the ministry to be against the Islamic sharia.

In this context, governmental university in Gaza will be forcing the female students to wear a legitimate dress staring next semester. This decision was criticized by Palestinian Human Rights activists who call for the liberty of choice.
