A man was nicknamed the “polite robber” after a video of a robbery, recorded by the surveillance cameras at a Shell gas station, appeared on YouTube.
The video showed the robber, identified as 65-year-old Mr. Hess, asking the station owner, “Could you do me a favor? Could you empty that till for me, please?”
He then apologized for taking the money and said he needed it to pay his rent, feed his children and pay other bills. He thanked the gas station owner profusely and promised to pay him back “if I ever get on my feet again, sir.”
Although the video was published in 2011, it's retaking social media platforms... Maybe, just maybe because we all miss a little politeness when it comes to our daily interactions.
