Most parents are willing to do whatever it takes to make sure their child has a memorable birthday. But when Jeff Lake decided it would be the perfect opportunity to show the rest of the world that he is a cool dad at his daughter Olivia’s 18th birthday, things got a little out of control.
Unfortunately for Lake, his plan reportedly involved inviting at least 150 teenagers to an alcohol-fueled Playboy-themed party at his house in Poway, CA, leading to his arrest, after his neighbors called the police.
According to the police report, the arrest had less to do with the noise and more to do with the two teenage boys who were passed out drunk in the basement.
Lake was charged with a violation of a statute that makes it illegal for adults to host parties where minors drink, which carries a maximum sentence of six months in jail.
This was not the first time Lake tries to cement his cool dad status, but he has previously made a name for himself as an attorney in medical marijuana cases.
