London Man Receives $5,500 Parking Bill
A London man received a surprising sight when he returned from attending a festival with his family to find a parking ticket amounting to $5,500.

Thirty-two-year-old Manish Wadhwani tweeted a photo of his bill in disbelief after a system error led to a very costly afternoon of parking at the Winter Wonderland festival in Hyde Park.

The high total of the bill was shocking because Wadhwani had reserved all day parking for a rate of about $7.50 before his arrival.

Wadwhani believes the astronomical bill was due to an error that took place when he rented the same space in August, causing the timer to run for 93 days.

National Car Parks, the company responsible for parking services at the garage, originally refused to cancel the charge despite the error leaving Wadhwani to pay the fee.

However, the company did finally grant him a full refund after an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the charge took place.
