• Hezbollah is preparing for another "round of violence" with Israel-sources
  

Sources told Al-Joumhouria newspaper on Tuesday that the deal concluded between world powers and Iran did not ease down the crisis in the Middle East region.

Same sources added that the assassination of senior commander of Hezbollah Hassan al-Laqis will lead to a war between Israel and Hezbollah.

According to the Daily, Hezbollah is preparing for another "round of violence" with Israel by setting training camps for its fighters.

The same sources added that Israel and Hezbollah are not willing to widen the scope of violence and counter-violence.

The daily concluded by noting that Israel is focusing on assassinating Hezbollah leaders while the armed group seeks to carry out "limited security operations."

• Speaker Berri: Presidential elections must be held on due time to spare Lebanon chaos

Speaker Nabih Berri told Al-Joumhouria newspaper on Tuesday that the presidential elections must be held "on their due time."

He also noted that the failure of electing a new President "will drive the entire country into chaos."

On another note, Speaker Berri noted that the defense strategy and the Resistance weapons were not discussed yet between all the Lebanese leaders.
 

• ADP media official Saleh: Rounds of clashes between Bab al-Tebanneh and Jabal Mohsen "will not end soon"

The media official of the Arab Democratic Party Abdel Latif Saleh told Al-Anbaa newspaper on Tuesday that the ADP leader Ali Eid and his son Refaat Eid "adhere to the state's institutions."

He also hailed the stance of caretaker Prime  Minister Najib Mikati concerning the Lebanese army's deployment in Tripoli's Bab al-Tebbaneh.

Saleh noted that the ongoing rounds of clashes between Jabal Mohsen and Bab al-Tebbaneh "will not end any time soon" due to the failure of Future movement in giving its political cover to implement the security plan in the city.

• 30 security guards arrested for smuggling drugs to inmates in the Rounieh prison-sources

Sources told Al-Akhbar newspaper on Tuesday that the Military Court Judge Dani Zaani is following up on investigations with security guards at the Roumieh prison over involvement in smuggling drugs to inmates inside the prison.

According to the Daily, 30 guards have been arrested so far in this regard and were referred to the military judiciary.

The Daily concluded by adding that the investigations are carried out in coordination with the Internal Security Forces Anti-Drug Bureau and Intelligence Bureau.
