Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea told
al-Akhbar newspaper on Monday that he is willing to hold dialogue with Hezbollah, adding that he has no personal disputes with the armed party but only political ones.
Geagea noted that the LF will not boycott the cabinet session dedicated to discuss the policy statement, adding however that the party will not give the government the vote of confidence.
Geagea also criticized the failure to list the Baabda Declaration in the policy statement, as well as the Special Tribunal for Lebanon.
As for Tripoli, he stressed that the clashes taking place in the city is the result of the absence of a political decision to put an end for such clashes, urging the Lebanese state to assume its responsibility in this regard.
Geagea concluded by saying that the full control of the Syrian town of Yabroud will put an end for the smuggling of booby trapped cars into Lebanon.
Head of Arsal municipality Ali Hjairy told
al-Joumhouria newspaper on Monday that the Syrian regime troops are far away from Arsal, adding that the land borders are still under the control of Syrian rebels.
Hjairy denied to the Daily the presence of any fighters of al-Nusra Front or any armed group in the town.
Hjairy concluded by saying that the Syrian regime is intensifying its air raids over Arsal "without any response from the Lebanese authorities."
Kataeb MP Elie Marouni told
al-Akhbar newspaper on Monday that Kataeb ministers will submit their resignation before next Wednesday.
Marouni also noted that contacts on high levels are being held in order to overcome the obstacles, adding the Kataeb party wishes to form an all-embracing cabinet.
He concluded by saying that the Kataeb party respected its principles, adding that they previously warned that the three ministers will resign in case the policy statement is unclear.
Sources told
As-Safir newspaper on Monday that the leader of the armed group that was orchestrating car bombs attacks in Yabroud is missing, noting that he may be killed during the last battles in the town.
Same sources added that several SUV cars, similar to the ones that blew up in the Dahiyeh and Hermel regions, were found in Yabroud carrying Lebanese plate numbers.
This as well informed sources told the Daily that several cars were smuggled into Lebanon, adding that the Lebanese security apparatuses are taking tight procedures to prevent any possible attacks.
