Future MP Fatfat says he received death threats

Future bloc MP Ahmad Fatfat told al-Seyassah newspaper on Saturday that he received death threats two weeks ago.

Fatfat told the daily that he started to take tight security measures in all of his movements.

According to the daily, Fatfat dubbed the security situation in Lebanon as "alarming", citing Hezbollah military intervention in Syria as the reason behind such a security chaos.

Hariri to MP Gemayel: Geagea has no chances to the presidency-sources

Sources told al-Akhbar newspaper on Saturday that former Prime Minister Saad Hariri told Kataeb MP Sami Gemayel that he is pessimistic over Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea's chances to the presidency.

The same sources added that the Kataeb party will not vote in favor of the extension of the parliament's mandate.

Defected LAF soldiers are still inside Lebanon-security sources

Security sources told As-Safir newspaper on Saturday that the soldiers who defected from the army and joined the terrorist groups are still inside the Lebanese territories.

The same sources added that the defected soldiers are hiding in a northern city awaiting to be transported inside Syria.

Another sources told the daily, that the Future bloc MP Khaled Daher is behind the defection of several army soldiers.

Al-Nusra Front and ISIL behind Tripoli's attacks against LAF-sources

Ministerial sources told al-Akhbar newspaper on Saturday that the al-Nusra Front and the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant are behind the latest attacks on the Lebanese army in the northern city of Tripoli.

The same sources added that the Lebanese Armed Forces Command and the political leaders took a final decision to end the presence of all illegal weapons in the city.
