France calls for respecting the Lebanese people’s right to protest, implementing reforms

France called for respecting the right of the Lebanese people to protest, on the sixth day of the revolution against the ruling class.

A statement issued by the French Foreign Ministry said that “France is following up closely on the developments in Lebanon and calls for maintaining a peaceful movement.”

France also urged the Lebanese government to implement the required reforms so that the Lebanese economy can recover and the state can provide the people with the public services.

“France stressed its commitment to support Lebanon and its commitment with its international partners to implement the decisions taken during the Cedre conference held in Paris in April 2018,” the ministry said.
