India's military pays aerial tribute to healthcare workers-[PHOTOS+VIDEOS]
India's armed forces on Sunday (May 3) took to the skies to thank the country's healthcare workers and emergency services battling the coronavirus pandemic.

Air force planes staged flypasts over many major cities and flower petals were showered from helicopters onto applauding healthcare workers outside hospitals.

Police and military paid tribute at the police memorial in New Delhi and a band serenaded health workers outside a hospital in Jammu and Kashmir.

India has recorded 37,776 coronavirus cases and 1,223 deaths amid a nationwide lockdown to contain the spread of the virus, according to latest figures.
