Kuwait suspends issuing visas to Lebanese, says al-Qabas newspaper-[REPORT]
Informed security sources told Al-Qabas newspaper on Wednesday that the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior has suspended issuing visas of all kinds to Lebanese community until further notice, on the back of recent diplomatic crisis between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and Lebanon.

The sources said that “those who have residency inside the country are not covered by the decision, as they have the right to return to the country."

Later in the day, a security source told Agence France Press news agency that Kuwaiti authorities decided to tighten its rules for granting visas to Lebanese citizens without issuing an official circular in this regard, and that less than two weeks after a diplomatic crisis erupted between Lebanon and four Gulf countries.

The well informed security source who chose to remain unnamed said that that there is a “verbal decision to tighten the rules while issuing tourist and business visas against Lebanese citizens."
