Tunisian police scuffled on Saturday with protesters against President Kais Saied, as around 100 people demonstrated against a planned referendum in July.
Protesters were blocked by police as they were attempting to reach the headquarters of the electoral board, whose chief Saied had been removed last month in yet another step to extend his power of state institutions.
Some at the protest in the Tunisian capital, organized by five small political parties, held up placards reading “the president’s commission = fraud commission.”
