South Korea hold talks to discuss joint industrial complex Kaesong

South Korea's Unification Minister Ryoo Kihl-jae faced criticism from business leaders on Sunday that not enough has been done to resolve the stalemate over the closure of the jointly operated Kaesong industrial complex in North Korea.

Ryoo said the concerns of business owners were being considered in the South Korean government's efforts to get the site reopen and blamed North Korea for taking "one-sided and unreasonable measures".

The meeting took place about two hours after Ryoo released a statement which urged the North Korean government to promise that it will never make an one-sided decision to shut down the jointly run complex.

He also urged the North to come back to the negotiating table for talks to resolve the stand-off.

It has been almost four months, since North Korea abruptly shut down the

Kaesong site, which is jointly run between South and North Korea.
