Syrian economy minister: Economic situation at its worst

Syrian Economy Minister Mohammad Nidal al-Shaar said on Thursday that Syria’s economic situation is at its worst; however, the country will try to overcome the economic hardship by making further progress to achieve self-sufficiency.

"This is not an easy crisis. It's the worst in our recent history” Shaar said, adding that “if the situation remains the same it will harm Syria and will later spread out to other Arab states.”
